To complement our article on
writing for publication, we are pleased to be able to offer a limited number of workshops on this topic. The latest of these took place at Northwick Park Hospital, London, in June, to an audience of nurses and doctors, attending both in person and online.
Rebecca Linssen outlined the process of writing, submitting and hopefully getting an article accepted for publication. She discussed how to select an appropriate journal for your work, what to think about when collaborating with a group of authors, and how the publication process works once your article has been accepted following peer review.
The audience asked many insightful questions, including discussions about the place of artificial intelligence (AI) in writing clinical articles, and clarification of the processes involved in open access publication.
